Maidstone Wargames Club outing 2015
The TAS took one of the greenhouses in quite short measure, as one might expect from such a speedy force. The WRY managed to take the other one - briefly - but kept losing the vehicles they parked outside the glass domes because of heavy fire from the Sulwesi Rhinos. The Stewarts lost one of their Apollo tanks and lost the gun from the other in quite short order - again, mostly down to long range fire from the Rhinos. They had placed their two anti-tank towed guns well but had real trouble getting a bead on anyone from the opposing team and instead got most of their jollies from their side shots on TAS vehicles from their Artemis main guns and fire from their deployed infantry who were all sporting Anti-Armour grenade launcher rounds. The Stewarts also countered fire from the Sulwesi light mortars with fire from their own Katy heavy mortar. In the end, though the Stewarts were largely decimated along with most of the WRY who lost their command when Cain deployed with an infantry team to assault AFVs with rapid fired buzzbombs. On the other flank the TAS heavies and Slammers duked it out as Ranson struggled with her demons and the Slammers lost three of their Blower tanks taking out the two new Komodo heavy grav tanks in a hard slog. The had largely ground each other into a halt - the TAS had lost most of their heavy force to Slammers and Stewart fire (along with some Sulwesi mounted infantry who were caught by the anti-buzzbomb system of a Slammers tank and shredded) but the TAS took and held their greenhouse and the WRY could not manage to hold onto theirs for long enough.
