Play moved back and forth for initiative:the marine Captain (LV8) and the Stewart’s Major FitzAlan (DV4 but with some Elite skills) usually meant that - whoever went first and second - the Scotsmen almost always went last. The CdB won initiative and took out an Artemis MICV with the loss of the onboard infantry but took a pasting in return, losing Montasberts and Tassigny MICVs. The second turn saw the heavier CdB - the tank destroyers - engaging both the TAS and Stewarts with missiles (often targetted by their sniper) and guns but had poor luck. Their opponents did better but - outnumbered as they were - they had to! The TAS used their superior speed to swing around and take out Montaberts from the rear - one even with a tribarrel and destroyed a CdB infantry team with their panel ADS. In the end, despite hails of both infantry buzzbombs and missile attacks, the CdB had succeeded only in destroying almost half of the Stewart Regiment (including almost all of the infantry) and taking the main guns and some secondary systems off of the TAS heavy HALO tanks but only mamaging to actually kill one TAS infantry squad. By the end of five turns the evening had run out and both sides were suffering. Both commanders - including the insurance officer who took over after Colonel Barthe had been killed - decided to call an end to hostilities and a ceasefire - and a draw - was declared. Thanks for the game Jim! John Treadaway
